Make it Fly
thingiverse
This is a remix of filiptheking's "Make it Sink" model. I utilized the same gear mechanisms to make the eagle's wings move as were used in the original man's arms. The eagle base was modified from andypop's "100% Eagle" model. I printed this model using the MakerBot Replicator 2. The eagle base should be printed with at least 40% infill, raft and supports, and a resolution that is not critical since it's only the base. Crank, gears, and shafts should be printed without supports, 40-100% infill, and a layer height of 0.10mm. All pieces were designed to fit together seamlessly without glue, but if they are loose you can use hot glue. Please see the included "Readme.txt" file for complete instructions on how to assemble the parts after printing. You can watch a demonstration of the wing movement in the short video clip at https://youtu.be/pAC5DPbmMYo. And here is a video that will help with assembly of the parts: https://youtu.be/Y87DWqP1Y2c. Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator 2
