Make a Bauhaus inspired Computer Monitor Stand with a IKEA Burhult shelf

For a total of around $10 Cdn, you can build a very sturdy stand for your computer monitor. This stand uses an IKEA Burhult shelf (59cm x 20 x 1.5cm), a few screws, plus a bit of glue; to build a stand which raises your monitor 8.5cm above your desktop.  There's also a single piece version, if your print bed is large enough for it.Note:  On the 2 piece version, although I've designed it with 4 screw holes per side/end, you can actually get away with only using 2 screws on each end.I've included a couple of different prints, for small and large print beds.The stand can be printed without supports.2024-05-29:  Added a custom sized version for shelves 195mm wide x 15mm thick2023-04-19:  I've updated the multi-piece design to help keep the lower rail straight during assembly.  See “Print Set V2 for small print beds”.  If you are printing the multi-piece design, I recommend that you use the V2 Print Set. The photos of the shelf I printed are similar to this one, except they're built using an older & larger IKEA shelf I had available (i.e. 70cm x 24cm x 1.94cm); for a monitor weighing about 5.3kg or ~11.7 lb.  Mine was printed using PLA with a 0.25mm layer height, 3 walls and 20% infill, making it more than strong enough for my monitor stand. Note:  The IKEA Burhult shelf is listed as having a capacity of up to 22lb, when properly mounted on the wall. I'm assuming that IKEA's shelf is stiff enough, if you're staying within 60% of it's rated load.  However, if you do see signs of sagging/bowing/bending in the middle, the shelf may need additional support.  If that's the case, let me know; as I can design a middle leg/support for it. https://www.ikea.com/ca/en/p/burhult-shelf-white-80400042/#:~:text=The%20shelf%20carries%20a%20max,properly%20mounted%20on%20the%20wall.
