The 9-mm Makarov pistol, also known as PM, with GRAU index-56-A-125, was created by renowned Soviet designer Nikolai Fedorovich Makarov back in 1948. This self-loading pistol gained official recognition when it was adopted in 1951. The Makarov has been a trusted sidearm for both the Soviet and post-Soviet military forces as well as law enforcement agencies across the board.
