Main Water Cover
thingiverse
I'm designing my own cover for the main water tank (the green thing in the picture), saving myself around $20 by doing so. The original cover is made of plastic and approximately 30 years old. I've uploaded a file for printing, but if you'd like to make any changes, such as adjusting the size, I also have the fusion 360 file available. I kept all the holes below a quarter inch in diameter to prevent mice from getting inside. It's also worth noting that snakes can easily fit through quarter-inch openings, so it's best to avoid that altogether. If your slicer or printer has trouble bridging, you can simply remove the crossbeams by default. The angle of these beams is 45 degrees, connecting them at the top and bottom when printing. It took around 10 hours to print this design. I added a hole at the bottom to eliminate standing water, which attracts mosquitoes. Additionally, I made it easy to open with a flathead screwdriver in case you have limited dexterity. _________ Version one was slightly too small for my needs, so I created version two with an increased width of 210mm compared to version one's 203mm. Version two is also 26mm high, whereas version one was only 15mm high.
With this file you will be able to print Main Water Cover with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Main Water Cover.
