Main Landing Gear Strut for Eclipson Model T
thingiverse
I've loved Eclipson 3D printable aircraft designs for some time, so I jumped at the opportunity to make one when I saw their Model T l posted for free here on Thingiverse. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3302937 Unfortunately, the free version did not have any landing gear. Eclipson posted a nose gear design as a seperate thing. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2838603 but I decided to design my own main gear. This is designed to fit into the Fus2_FV section of the fuselage in the space between the belly and cargo-floor. You just have to cut away a slit on each side large enough to fit the gear in and glue it in place. I also included a notch to accomodate the existing glue tab on bottom of section Fus3_FV. I have also included a design for a 45mm diameter tire with matching hub. I printed the tire out of TPU and the hub out of PETG. The hubs have 2.75mm holes which will accomodate mounting them with wire or a thin screw, but you can also drill the hole out slightly to use a 3mm screw as a shaft. Let me know what you think
