I crafted this design since I couldn't locate an attractive post box in local stores. It's a remix from http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:148377. To enhance the aesthetic, I placed it on a "lid" for a 110mm PVC pipe with two rings, giving it an old metalworked look. Instructions: 1. Print two rings and meticulously clean the inside of each ring with sandpaper, as they are notoriously tight-fitting. 2. Produce two hinges and two lids, also requiring print-outs. 3. Secure a piece of 110mm PVC pipe, choosing any desired length. 4. Fasten the hinges to the pipe using a 3mm bolt and nut combination. 5. The lids can be fitted onto the hinges using a corresponding 3mm bolt and nut fastening. 6. Select an attachment method for installing them. 7. For those seeking a similar look to mine, explore steampunk painting techniques online or consult numerous videos on YouTube for inspiration.
