Mailbox flag mount for Gibraltar RF000R06 Replacement Flag Kit
thingiverse
We needed a replacement flag for our brick-sided mailbox and there was a Gibraltar replacement flag kit at a local store. The included mount only worked for their mailboxes, so I designed this to screw into the brick on our mailbox and hold the metal replacement flag. No other parts from the replacement flag kit are used. You can probably find this flag kit at your local Home Depot or similar store. If you'd be so kind as to order it through my affiliate link from Amazon, that'd be great too: https://www.amazon.com/Solar-Group-RF000R06-Aluminum-Replacement/dp/B005WSEFKQ?crid=32XJZC81A7ZSX&keywords=gibraltar+mailbox+replacement+flag&qid=1670984925&sprefix=gibraltar+mailbox+replacement+flag,aps,144&sr=8-1&linkCode=sl1&tag=grouchoduke-20&linkId=88db1ca0714684ec4bdb748036bfaf78&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl (affiliate link) To mount this, I used two Tapcon 3/16" x 1-1/4" concrete screws. https://www.amazon.com/Solar-Group-RF000R06-Aluminum-Replacement/dp/B005WSEFKQ?crid=32XJZC81A7ZSX&keywords=gibraltar+mailbox+replacement+flag&qid=1670984925&sprefix=gibraltar+mailbox+replacement+flag,aps,144&sr=8-1&linkCode=sl1&tag=grouchoduke-20&linkId=88db1ca0714684ec4bdb748036bfaf78&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl (affiliate link) The hardest part about mounting a mailbox flag to brick is drilling the holes for the screws. Make sure you have the right drill bit. This is what I used. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Tapcon-5-32-in-x-3-1-2-in-Steel-Carbide-Tip-Masonry-Drill-Bit-11256/100196120
