Mailbox End Plug
thingiverse
This is a straightforward example of Openscad in action. We had a brass mailbox with one of its plugs missing, located at each end of the hinge. With a roll of Brass PLA filament on hand, I swiftly created this design and printed it out. The printing process was remarkably fast, so I ran the model through a few iterations to get the diameter just right. Every DIY enthusiast should invest in a Micrometer; they're affordable, costing under $10, and indispensable when working with real-world projects that require precise measurements.
