Mailbox Delivery Flag
thingiverse
This is a mailbox flag that lets you know if the mailman has arrived or not. It also lets you know if another family member has already taken in the mail. My mailbox is a Gibraltar model ES15. The mailbox flag attaches to the mailbox with friction only, so if you have a different mailbox, you may need to adjust the width of the gap to get it to stay on your mailbox. I've included the Fusion 360 file in case you need to modify it for your mailbox. You can also use TinkerCad to modify the .stl file. To assemble it, simply put a little bit of super glue in the pin hole and attach the flag with the pin. You may not want to use this if you are concerned about people stealing your mail since this will also alert them that there is something in your mailbox. UPDATE: I added two more files which implement the pin as a screw. This eliminates the need to super glue the pin in place. For this, you'll need the mailbox_screw.stl and the mailbox_threads.stl files that contain the threaded pieces. The bolt not only secures the flag but can also help hold the base to the mailbox. You probably don't want to print at a layer height higher than 0.12 due to the fine threads. The original "pin" version of the files are still available for those who prefer that implementation.
With this file you will be able to print Mailbox Delivery Flag with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Mailbox Delivery Flag.
