Mai Shiranui is a highly recognizable character from the Fatal Fury and The King of Fighters series of fighting games created by SNK. Her official nickname is The Alluring Ninja Girl. Due to Mai's enormous popularity among fans, she appears prominently in almost every promotional art piece, game art design, theme, and merchandise produced, earning her the title of female mascot and sex symbol for SNK. Mai's iconic appearance in King of Fighters has led to extensive coverage in print media, toys, figurines, and decorative items.
