Mahjong - Wind indicator and Pivot corner piece
thingiverse
I recently stumbled upon an old mahjong set for $20 and just had to buy it. All the tiles and dice were there, but one crucial piece was missing - the wind indicator (also known as a "bettor") and the pivot corner piece that's usually found in most sets. The wind indicator helps track players when their "wind" changes direction with each deal, while the pivot corner piece marks the original "East" player at round start and is placed in the table's corner. When I used to play mahjong with my family, a wind indicator and pivot piece were always present, making it feel essential to complete the set I had. The pivot piece is traditionally made of green plastic, but wind indicator pieces can be any color combination as long as direction symbols are clearly visible. For more information on seat and prevalent winds, visit http://mahjong.wikidot.com/seat-and-prevalent-winds or learn about index:winds at http://mahjong.wikidot.com/index:winds. You can also find equipment:pivot details at http://mahjong.wikidot.com/equipment:pivot. Someone has already designed a full mahjong set on thingiverse, making this an addition to the set if needed: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:766571/#files. P.S. Please excuse the shoddy paint job when filling in characters - I'm an engineer, not much of a painter.
