Mahavira
thingiverse
Mahavira, born in Jnn, Gujarat, India, circa 1470, embodies the ideals of the 24th tirthankara or spiritual leader of Jainism. His statue is showcased at the Museum of Cinquentenaire in Brussels, Belgium. Jainism, also known as Jain Dharma, is an ancient Indian faith with a long history dating back thousands of years. Followers of Jainism are referred to as Jains, derived from the Sanskrit word jina, signifying the path to victory over life's cycle of rebirths through a disciplined and spiritual lifestyle. Jains attribute their heritage to a succession of twenty-four triumphant saviors and teachers known as Tirthankaras. The first Tirthankara is believed to have lived millions of years ago, while the twenty-fourth Tirthankara is none other than Mahavira around 500 BCE.
