Magtek Excella STX Lid Switch Fix
thingiverse
I created this part because when removing the lid on a Magtek Excella STX, sometimes the metal piece on the Cherry DG2 T85 micro switch would break off due to weak plastic on the switch. The check scanner won't work without the lid switch being pressed down, but without that metal tab on the micro switch, the lid can't press the button. This part fixes that issue. If the metal tab breaks off, you can print this piece and attach it to the underside of the center lid. When the lid is pressed down, it will actuate the switch without needing the metal piece on the micro switch. See the images for how it goes on the lid. Sorry the images are a bit squished. Print this part with the large flat area facing downwards.
