MagSavior - Save your Apple MagSafe power adapter
thingiverse
Since March 21st, I've revamped and updated a website that had been neglected for two years. I hope my new site, http://www.designique.co, is simple and illustrative. It features all MagSavior Products and a new Google Cardboard variant (pending Google certification). For 3D printing enthusiasts, I've uploaded my discontinued product. The challenge is to print and fit all four parts together without forcing them in. Adjust the multiplying factor slightly (1.1x) for the side clip, and print the body clip flat. Print in pairs and enjoy! If it doesn't fit perfectly, blame your 3D printer. Download connectorV4_MB_Prod-sideClipL1_2_1310.STL and connectorV4_MB_Prod-back1_2_1310.STL. On January 12th, I added a Mag Clip for the magnetic tip end to http://www.magsavior.com, alongside the 3D printed magsavior. Thanks MakerBot for making consumer-level rapid prototyping easy! To envision our goal of transitioning from a 3D printed prototype to injection mold production, we started an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign: http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/magsavior-save-your-magsafe-power-adapter. Have you ever lost your MagSafe power adapter and had to spend $79 on a new one? Introducing MagSavior - an invention designed to protect and prolong the life of your MagSafe adapter. Created using Autodesk 123D Design, multiple prototypes were printed before pre-production perfection. Please help us realize our project by sharing MagSavior with your friends and family on Facebook and Twitter. If you have a 3D printer, print your own using http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:141012 (Version 2 of my Magsafe Saver).
