Magsafe Macbook Charger Cable Repair Box
thingiverse
My dog made the shocking discovery that my Macbook Magsafe charger was an appetizing $100 snack, so she decided to chomp off the magnet bit from it. Rather than spending money on a brand new one, I opted to purchase a replacement cable on Amazon for just $7. Since I didn't want to struggle with Apple's glue and risk not getting it back together perfectly, I created this box that holds onto the cable wrap hinges that I don't even use. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AOICCJK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 is the link to the replacement Magsafe cable I bought on Amazon. The holes I drilled into it are for a M5 bolt that's at least 20mm long, but I included the blender files before and after the cuts so you can easily adjust them. I also want to mention that this charger is from a 13" 2010 Macbook Pro, and I'm not even sure if they have different chargers. Here are some measurements to help you determine if your charger fits: the charger block is 74.2mm x 74.2mm x 28.3mm, while the space inside the hooks is 38.4mm and each hook is 4.5mm x 14.2mm.
