MagSafe 2 Strain Relief/Cable Fix

I decided not to replace my wife's laptop power adapter cable even though it was fraying, since its internal components were still in great condition - only the rubber insulation was damaged. The object is made up of two parts that are glued together around the cable end. I chose hot glue for this repair, but you can see how it didn't allow the two halves to fit together as snugly as they should have. Super glue would probably be a better choice.
