Magsafe 2 cable strain relief
thingiverse
A Simple Solution To Save Your MacBook Pro's Power Adapter Cable. Print this design flat on your printer, with the opening facing upwards and without any support needed. I made mine in PLA but you could get even better results if you use a more flexible material like PETG, TPU or PP. The kind of material you choose will affect how easily the strain relief bends when the cable is pulled hard (PLA makes it stiffer while TPU makes it floppier). First, put a length of your power adapter cable into the slot and push it in gently, keeping the connector and its attached cable sheath out of the way. If your cable is already damaged, wrap one thin layer of tape around it before you push it in to stop it getting any worse. Now, push the sheath and connector back into the strain relief and make sure they don't get caught on anything. This will keep your MacBook Pro's power adapter cable safe from damage. I usually use Fusion 360 for my designs but this one was so simple I decided to go with Tinkercad instead. Maybe it's just because Tinkercad is so colorful!
