To build a simple magnifying glass holder, start by gathering a piece of 20mm electrical tubing. The handle of the magnifying glass itself measures 21mm in diameter. When choosing rings to fit around the pipe, keep in mind that they have a tolerance of about 0.15 mm. This allows for enough clamping friction to enable you to adjust the angles of the stand freely.
