This precise tool was created for a low vision client who suffers from hemianopia. His condition makes it challenging to follow a line of text as he's sidetracked by words above and below what he wants to read. After consulting with our orthoptist, I crafted this device to perfectly fit on a strip magnifier (Vision Australia part number ES0201). It has a firm grip, requiring some adjustments with a low-speed Dremel after removing the supports, but it now snugly fits in place and doesn't easily come loose.
