Magnifier light repair upgrade
thingiverse
My 25 year old magnifier light literally fell to bits on me. So i decided rather than buy a new one with a plastic lense to print myself a new one keeping the original glass lense. I re-used the original lense, the power switch and the connector to the arm I replaced the fluorescent tube with an Led ring. The led ring and driver I got from a cheap ceiling light similar to this. https://www.amazon.co.uk/fuwinkr-Wear%E2%80%91Resistant-Corrosion-Resistant-Ceiling/dp/B08L9NPSX4?&linkCode=sl1&tag=buzzing03-21&linkId=e072b38b3faf56787e29e4a1e26408ee&language=en_GB&ref_=as_li_ss_tl It was a perfect fit around my lense. I also cut up the shade from the ceiling light and made a ring shape from it then inverted it and used it as a shade in my worklight The lense is sandwiched between the 2 main rings, The led driver goes in the box compartment with the power switch, this compartment is also sandwiched between the 2 main rings. The thin ring is just to hold the shade in place. and the square plate is the bottom cover for the electronics compartment.
