Magnifier & LED

Magnifier & LED

thingiverse

Big magnifier on the go, now in two sizes to fit your needs. A projector condenser lens is used, and I've got them in 128mm and 109 mm diameter. The frame holds three alu tubes, each 22mm in diameter and 100 mm long, which contain one or more 18650 batteries. It's designed specifically for the switch, micro USB charger PCB, and other depicted parts. Schematics are straightforward - connect the battery to the charger, then link all LEDs to the battery through a switch and a resistor with values ranging from 1ohm to 10 ohm; I chose 5.1 ohm for optimal brightness. The LEDs are connected in parallel using 0.2mm enamel wire hidden under the lens edge, with drill holes for wire passage. Cut the charger PCB in half and connect the two parts with short wires, bending them away from the tube. Drill a 4mm hole to see the charger LEDs through it. Remove sections of the alu tube to accommodate the switch and charger PCB; the tubes must fit snugly inside. Secure the battery compartment with a cork. Once everything's tested and working, glue all parts in place. For the 109mm version, you can modify the Tinkercad design by removing parts from the rings and keeping the feet; add 1.5mm to your lens diameter as PLA shrinks that much. To ensure precise positioning of the feet and LEDs, use a 6-sided polygon temporarily in your design. Here's what you'll need: Round Push Button Switch Black DC 30V 1A 10mm x 10mm (D*H), TP4056 Lithium Battery Charger Module Charging Board, High Power DC 3.2-3.6V LED Beads Light Diode LED Chip, and a projector condenser lens in two sizes - 128mm and 109 mm diameter.
