Magneto Helmet: X-men First Class

Magneto Helmet: X-men First Class

thingiverse

This Magneto/Shaw's helmet model from X-Men First Class replica takes approximately 25 hours to print, fitting a head width of 7.5 inches. However, it may be too large and could be scaled by 7/7.5 in the future. Initially printed on a Fablicator, the design file is available at www.fablicator.com. To optimize printing ease, cut up the Solidworks or STL file yourself based on your printer's requirements. It is recommended to use PLA due to its size and thinness compared to ABS, which requires a 70C heated chamber that most users don't have yet. After printing, carefully melt the pieces together using a soldering iron. Smooth the helmet with bondo, sandpaper, and elbow grease, applying a duplicolor metalcast over a black base coat. Bonding, priming, and wet-sanding are crucial for a flawless finish; patience is key.
