I designed a Magnetic X carriage for e3dv6 extruder on Anet A8/Prusa i3 based on the system created by Tech2C (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1632847). My goal was to create a carriage that can be easily and quickly interchanged with other hotend/laser/etc. I used four magnets, each 8mm in diameter and 1.5mm thick. The laser and other extruder connections are currently under development.
