Hi, check out the alpha version of my magnetic x carriage designed specifically for 45 mm spaced x rods. You can watch a demo here: https://youtu.be/i2GAG3h6WsI. This design works seamlessly with cylindrical magnets measuring 14mm by 5.5mm. My plan is to use this magnetic x carriage as the core component in Ultimaker prints, and I'm currently designing a single connector for wires (hotend, probe, etc). UPDATE: Redesigning part B is underway, with an updated version coming soon.
