Magnetic WiFi Repeater Stash Box for Cash & Valuables

Sometimes people keep their cash or other valuables in places that aren't the safest or most convenient spots at home. It's also one of the first things burglars look for when they break into a house. Who would think to check a Wifi-Repeater? Well, besides a burglar who frequently visits Thingiverse. The Stash Box looks like some sort of electronic device. I chose a "WiFi Repeater" design because it could be mounted anywhere in a home and is something that people might not immediately suspect. The back has (16) 10x3mm slots for magnets, which makes this Stash Box able to be hidden almost anywhere. The back of a refrigerator, an I-beam, an air vent, the bottom of a file cabinet drawer, or virtually any other spot! The number of magnets you put on the back is up to you - fewer magnets make it easy to remove, while more magnets make it tougher. Drawers: There are two drawers with different variations (four drawers in total). One is designed for holding stacks of cash, and the other is designed for hiding small objects like coins, jewelry, USB drives, SD cards, etc. The two variations are Wifi (with holes for antenna and screws) and no holes at all. The Cash drawer can hold more than 100 bills. Base: There are two base variations; one has "WiFi Repeater" on it and the other doesn't. Magnets: All of the magnets in this design are 10mmx3mm, and you'll need to figure out how many you want based on which drawer you're using. You can buy them here: https://amzn.to/2Ib88xd SMA Jack and Antenna: Here is a link to the SMA jack and Wifi Antenna I used: https://amzn.to/2UNOt7B. Screws: The screws are purely cosmetic and don't assemble anything. They're meant to give the illusion that the drawer's end plate is screwed onto the base, but you'll need (2) Flathead #4 x 1/4" screws for this. These can usually be found at any hardware store. Assembly is relatively straightforward: 1> Installing Magnets: The magnets on the bottom all need to face the same direction. The holes are 9.95mm, so they fit snugly (you may need pliers or an arbor press). I also put a tiny bit of glue in each hole at the bottom. When installing magnets in the drawer and lid, you'll want them to be opposite from the base magnet! If you get them backwards, you won't be able to close the drawer and will probably have to reprint it. 2> Installing SMA Jack: Depending on which style SMA jack you buy, you may need to thread off or cut off the wire going into the jack (we don't need it). After removing the wire, slide the connector into the drawer from the inside out. Install a lock washer, nut, and tighten - not too much! I didn't use the split nut that came with my SMA as it's overkill for this. 3> Screws: Install Flat head screws in the drawer. 4> Use It! Put your cash in the box, hide it, and don't show anyone your cool new Stash Box - that would defeat its purpose! IMPORTANT NOTE! Like many of my designs, the tolerances on this item are very tight. If you're not sure if your 3D printer is dialed in correctly, the parts won't fit together properly. If you can't figure out why they don't fit together, please check everything with a caliper and adjust your 3D printer settings accordingly. Don't assume it's designed incorrectly!
