Magnetic Whiteboard Marker Holder

Magnetic Whiteboard Marker Holder

prusaprinters

A simple magnetic holder for whiteboard markers. It is inspired by this model:https://www.printables.com/model/251408-the-most-minimalist-staedtler-whiteboard-marker-hoHowever, I have markers of several brands, some with, and some without clip on the cap. And all markers have different diameters. I designed this to work as a one-stop solution for most whiteboard markers. I tested the holder for markers from 16 to 20 mm diameter. The 16 mm is gripped only weakly, so that you pull it out of the clamp when it is attached to the whiteboard, but it still works. I have added a second version with slightly smaller dimensions if you don't have 20 mm markers. The end fits a 6x2 mm cylindrical magnet, which is just about strong enough to hold a marker to the board without falling off. For both sizes, there is a model with slots for two magnets (still 6x2) if your markers tend to fall off the board. PrintingPrinting one of these takes about 20 minutes using 0.20 mm layer height on my Ender 3 Neo. It's best to print this the way it is oriented in the file, for the strongest layer orientation. Otherwise, this might snap off. I printed mine in PLA, which worked fine.
