Magnetic stirrer 120mm fan
thingiverse
A DIY magnetic stirrer built using a repurposed 120mm fan. This project features an on/off switch and a variable speed control potentiometer for fine-tuning the motor's RPM. Since this particular motor draws minimal amperage, I wouldn't normally suggest controlling it with a potentiometer; however, in this instance, it is feasible. For those interested in seeing the device in action, a video demonstration can be found on YouTube at https://youtu.be/qgcFWakViK8. The parts required for this build include: - One 120mm fan - One toggle switch - A power source such as a 9-volt battery or a 10-12 volt power adapter - Six neodymium magnets - Miscellaneous wire - A 10k ohm potentiometer, which can be replaced with a smaller value for increased turn range - Superglue - A magnetic stir bar
