This is a custom magnetic stand for 8 tubes of PCR strips. It's specifically designed to work seamlessly with neodymium rod magnets measuring Ø 3 mm and 8 mm in height, which can be purchased from https://www.supermagnete.com . The use of paramagnetic beads like AMPure XP makes the purification process incredibly fast and effective. The elution volume is recovered without any dead space or residual beads left behind. The holes on this prototype are slightly undersized to allow for easy adjustments using a drill. To ensure optimal contact between the magnet and the PCR strip, it's crucial to press the magnets into their respective holes about 3 mm deep - no glue is required whatsoever.
