magnetic Square for plane building
thingiverse
I'm really excited about this concept - the kind of magnets he's using aren't readily available around here, so I decided to recreate it using Alibre, keeping the same outer dimensions but adding a 15mm depth for a more solid feel. To give it some extra stability, I added gussets to the inner corners and drilled holes in strategic spots for those who prefer sticking things through to keep the model upright. The lines inside the magnet bay are designed to increase surface area, making it easier for the magnet to stick. I'm planning on using affordable Ferrite magnets, which I love because they help me build accurately and efficiently.
