Magnetic Small Parts Tray

Magnetic Small Parts Tray

I designed this small parts try in Fusion 360 to use on my steel workbench. It has two small, one medium, and one large compartment and on the back are holes for M3 threaded inserts and slots for bar magnets. Use a soldering iron at 215 degrees Celcius to melt threaded inserts into the holes and use M3 flat head screws to fasten the magnets on. Magnets are VERY STRONG (be careful) and are more than capable of handling whatever you throw at them. Print with supports.

Note: Magnets are used for attachment only and do not hold loose screws in the tray.

Threaded inserts- https://www.amazon.com/Hilitchi-Threaded-Embedment-Assortment-Projects/dp/B07VFZWWXY/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=threaded%2Binserts&qid=1652042290&sprefix=threaded%2B%2Caps%2C164&sr=8-3&th=1

Screws- https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0734Q7DDG?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1

Bar Magnets- https://www.amazon.com/Neodymium-Rectangular-Magnet-Countersunk-Matching/dp/B07T4NX3NC/ref=sr_1_9?keywords=bar%2Bmagnets%2Bneodymium&qid=1652042465&sprefix=bar%2Bmag%2Caps%2C151&sr=8-9&th=1
