Magnetic Shock Absorber

Magnetic Shock Absorber

thingiverse

This is a magnetic shock absorber/magnetic spring suspension device. It takes two parts to build using 6-32 screws to hold together. If you want the leaf spring version you will need 2 each of the leaf spring parts to assemble with 4 6-32 screws and nuts. I used small cylinder magnets with a diameter of 6mm that I recycled from a magnet build toy kit. I set up the cad so that you can print a test part in 10 minutes to make sure your mags fit. If not, when you modify the test part you will remember the hole size, and use it to make the final part fit your mags.
