Magnetic Self-Assembling Dodecahedron

Magnetic Self-Assembling Dodecahedron

thingiverse

This is an innovative, self-constructing Dodecahedron orb. It's built up from 0.375x0.1875in (3/8x3/16in) radially aligned magnetic rods found at K&J Magnetics. Each component has five snap-fits that secure the magnet in place and allow it to rotate freely on its axis, causing each magnet to automatically align with its adjacent counterpart and enabling the sphere to self-assemble when parts are within proximity.
