Magnetic Screwdriver Caddy

Magnetic Screwdriver Caddy

I picked up this set of small screwdrivers at an estate sale and needed some way to keep them neatly organized. Having everything rolling around loose in the drawer was getting frustrating, and it would be great to keep these within easy reach. I'll show you how to design and make a 3D printed screwdriver holder that's perfect for this task. The dimensions used worked flawlessly for this set of Craftsman Professional screwdrivers, and they fit perfectly on my Monoprice Select Mini 3D Printer. It is sized to hold six drivers in less than 120mm. I designed this caddy in Fusion 360 with precise attention to detail, then exported the STL file to Cura. The operations were straightforward: simple sketches, extrusions, fillets, and chamfers made up the bulk of the design process. I used the slicer settings listed below to print the part in PLA from Matterhackers. After printing, four 6mm cylindrical rare earth magnets are pressed into the back and secured with CA glue for added stability.
