Magnetic catches work effectively with small 8mm x 3mm magnets. A frame screw, stop, and glass magnet holder either include a pull tab or not. They can catch through three mils of glass thickness easily. With the right-sized magnets - usually sold in packs of ten - you simply drive them into place using gentle tapping or uniform squeezing and they will stay securely in position without needing glue.
