I tinker with bikes on the side and sometimes find myself frustrated with the way my tools are organized. I have to constantly walk back and forth to get the tools I need, which usually include metric hex keys ranging from 2 to 6mm. I prefer using screwdriver-style handles for most tasks because they're faster and more natural to work with than P-handles or Y-wrenches. To improve my workflow, I searched out a better solution and discovered the Wera 816 RA ratcheting screwdriver handle, which has become one of my favorite tools. I paired it with a set of metric hex bits, but found that switching between them was still a hassle. If only I could keep all the bits lined up in order so I could quickly swap out the bit I needed! That's exactly what I created: a bit holder designed to fit perfectly onto the 15mm quick-change head of the Wera 816 RA. The bits are secured by a strong magnet that also serves as a steel mount. To get started: You'll need this printed part. A Wera 816 RA ratcheting screwdriver Other quick-change bit holders like the Irwin model will work too. A metric hex bit set or any other six-piece set of quick-change bits. A 60x10x3mm neodymium bar magnet.
