Universal magnetic camera mount for PS3 cameras that double as excellent Astroprint-compatible 3D printer cameras can be had for a song, with many readily available on the market for very little money. To create this mounting system, use a 1/2" x 3/8" rare earth magnet - one that can be picked up from CMS Magnetics on eBay at an affordable price - to securely clamp the camera to the printer housing. First, carefully remove the PS3 camera from its bulky plastic casing and then reuse two of the screws to attach the board to this magnetic mount. In my QIDI Tech 1, the mounted camera fits neatly vertically inside the case above the access door where it remains completely invisible from the outside.
