Magnetic Probe Clip Holder for Bantam Tools Desktop PCB Milling Machine
thingiverse
We recently got our hands on a Bantam Tools Desktop PCB Milling Machine and found that the thickness probing clip kept getting pushed around by the dust collection skirt. To keep it in place off to one side, I designed a tiny stick that slides into a T-slot and accepts a magnet. Materials needed: * 1/4" x 1/8" strong magnet * Super Glue After printing, check the fit - if it works well, use a press fit with magnet and hold it in place with super glue if necessary. Trim with a side cutter if too long. Some potential improvements: * Get rid of the magnet altogether and create a cup for the clip to slide into - this could lead to dust and material collecting * Mill out of aluminum and include a thread so a screw can hold it securely into the T-slot
