I enjoy crafting items that can be perfectly mirrored on either side. You duplicate an identical design, then connect the two to form a complete piece. This project was created specifically for my sister's RV electricity supply, which utilized a particular power extension cord. The short length of cord dangles behind her rear bumper. I designed strategic gaps within the block's sides to securely hold powerful magnets salvaged from old hard drives. Thin walls at these areas guarantee that the magnets can firmly grasp the cord head against the steel underside of her van. Whenever she needs it, she simply reaches underneath and retrieves it. When it's time to depart, she lifts it back toward the van's underside, allowing the steel to grab hold of it again. The block's two halves encircle the head of an extension cord purchased at a local home improvement store. This cord features prominent teeth that match the detentes on the cord head, while thin stainless bolts are used to tightly secure the two halves around the cord head. Printing it in red serves as a reminder for her to stow it away before leaving any location.
