Magnetic Playing Card Holder
thingiverse
With tiny tots in the house constantly ripping apart any playing card box they can get their hands on, I came up with my own (semi) indestructible version of a playing card box. I designed two versions, depending on how much time and effort you're willing to put into printing. The one shown here features my magnetic flip lid mechanism. This prints as a single unit with the body, lid, and two pins that snap together to form the box. It's the smallest version and can hold two standard decks of playing cards or larger sets like UNO. You can print it without magnets, but it won't close as smoothly. If you're not up for waiting 8.5 hours for a print or don't want to deal with the hassle of magnets, there's an alternative slider/friction fit box available here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3134135 Happy printing!
