Magnetic Planetary Gear
pinshape
The goal of this project is to design a synchronized magnetic planetary gear that operates in real-time. Development is ongoing, but I will ensure this information remains current. The concept involves replacing traditional teeth with magnets that maintain contact without generating friction or requiring lubrication. To construct it, align the models with your magnets and bearings, then position opposing magnets within them. 1st Rotor: * 10 cylindrical magnets, each 5mm x 1.6mm in size, with a diameter of 50mm * Magnets snap into place 2nd Rotor: * Still under development Planets: * 4 cylindrical magnets, each 5mm x 1.6mm in size, with a diameter of 20mm * Each planet is paired with a 7mm x 3mm x 3mm bearing held in place by two printed shells * The shells are secured using M3 bolts that are attached to the stator via a comb spacer Sun: * 2 cylindrical magnets, each 5mm x 1.6mm in size * The sun must be equipped with an M3 winding to enable it to be screwed onto the main axis
