Magnetic Pipe Clamps

Magnetic Pipe Clamps

These magnetic pipe clamps are based on a design by the ingenious "Onwrikbaar". They can be used to clamp wrist-shaped pipes. I strongly recommend using the included Fusion 360 file to resize the pipe clamps to your own wrist-shaped pipe, as they are very small currently. There are parameters to change in the file. It's very easy, but if you're unsure, I've made a video walking you through the process: https://youtu.be/hPoG2a_jX3E. I built these to house the following magnet: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B018VBIJO8/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1. I recommend that you use stainless steel bolts so they don't rust. To attach the cuff hinge, you'll need one M4x45 caphead bolt and one M4 nut. To attach the magnet, you can use the screws that arrived in the kit and four M3 nuts. Alternatively, you can pass the magnet screws right out the bottom to screw it onto the right-angle bracket that came with the kit. To hold the solid metal plate (strike plate?), you'll need an M6x25 bolt and nut. I suggest printing a test with just one perimeter and killing it after 10mm or so, just to double-check the size before committing to a full print. If you end up making these, I'd love to see pictures!
