Magnetic Pincushion
thingiverse
While crafting face masks in quarantine, I discovered that a magnetic pincushion was essential to accelerate my process. This design employs two 10mm round neodymium magnets, which are a fairly common size. To keep them in place and create a larger magnetic surface, one of the roofing discs packaged with the magnets is utilized, but this step is optional. The pincushion should function well without it. The alignment of the two magnetic fields plays a crucial role. If you notice that your pincushion has two magnetic "hot spots" at the edges instead of one in the center, try flipping one of the magnets over to achieve the desired outcome. To create this project, you will need: 2 neodymium magnets with 10mm diameter and 5mm height 2 M3 x 10mm screws Optional: 1 steel roofing disc with a 2-inch diameter
