Magnetic Othello Lesson Board
thingiverse
A magnetic Go lesson board is now a reality, crafted from a sturdy piece of MDF that serves as its foundation. A thin steel plate, measuring just 1mm in thickness, is carefully screwed and glued onto the top surface. The final touch is a layer of soft, sticky felt that adds a tactile experience to this unique game board. The magnetic stones used for this project are impressively large, standing at 1.5 times the size of official Japanese stones. Each stone contains two powerful neodymium magnets, precisely cut to measure 8x2mm in size. The process of printing the required 128 parts was a thrilling experience that brought this innovative game board to life. A recent update has seen the decision to swap out the original material for a more practical and versatile option - paperboard, perfectly suited for use on a standard whiteboard.
