Magnetic Mount for SmartThings button
thingiverse
I purchased several of the latest SmartThings buttons. They come with adhesive pads that allow them to be mounted on various surfaces. That's really cool, but I'll be repainting my walls soon, which means I'd have to replace the adhesive afterwards. It turns out these buttons also feature two small magnets in their base. This is excellent news! So, here's a simple solution you can create using a screw from a wallplate to give the button a magnetic attachment point. I used 6mm x 3mm round neodymium magnets for this project, which can be found at very affordable prices on Amazon and eBay.
