Magnetic mount for 4-gang mains block

Magnetic mount for 4-gang mains block

My printer rests securely atop a wheeled tool cabinet crafted from sturdy steel, previously stabilized by sticky pads affixed to its sides. However, this makeshift solution proved ineffective, prompting me to design magnetic mounts that will efficiently secure cabling and other essentials to the cabinet. The first prototype is now complete, specifically engineered to attach a UK mains block (with potential applications for others) to one side of the cabinet. Strategically placed cutouts in its base accommodate two 30x10x5 mm magnets and four strips of 20mm adhesive foam, which add necessary friction to prevent slippage. The design features two prominent lugs on the front that seamlessly fit into the keyhole slots on the mains block, ensuring a snug connection. A flat base allows the block to rest comfortably, maintaining stability and organization within my workspace.
