Magnetic LED Remote Holder
thingiverse
I've been itching to upgrade my FLSunQQ-S with LED's for months now, but I kept putting it off because I was dreading disassembling the printer base. However, I finally gathered up the loose wires that were scattered all over my desk and managed to get them organized, and to my relief, everything worked like a charm. But then I realized I had a remote control just collecting dust. I decided to take matters into my own hands and design a holder for the remote that would sit snugly on the edge of my printer's top surface. The design features a hole at the bottom (the extended bar with writing) where you can insert a small 8mm diameter neodymium magnet (2.9mm high). These magnets are readily available at Harbor Freight or Home Depot for under $3 each. I placed one magnet in the design and another underneath the printer's top surface, which holds the design firmly in place. I printed mine using Matterhackers Metallic Green HTPLA on its side, but you can also use regular PLA or PETG. Just be sure to add supports to hold up the inner walls and letters during printing.
