I was prepping to repaint our kitchen when I discovered that the window shutter latches had nearly disintegrated due to UV light from the sun. When I went to remove them, they just crumbled into bits and pieces. The magnets remained intact, but finding some exactly like this would be very time-consuming if not downright impossible. The thought of filling in all those holes to get new ones to fit was not sounding like a lot of fun either. After taking some measurements, I designed replacements and printed a prototype. It worked perfectly! Then I printed more and more, and before long I had a whole set that looked and functioned just right.
