Magnetic Label Plate (Customizable)

If you're a fan of labeling things, but often change your mind or reorganize frequently, these labels allow you to create tags of any size that can be easily rearranged when you decide to move items around. They are perfect for use on metal shelving, filing cabinets, tool boxes, or any other metal surface that requires identification. Simply mark them with permanent markers, vinyl, or a label printer. The magnet size is fully customizable, so don't go out and buy specific magnets - use what you already have lying around. They must be round magnets, though. There's an option to adjust the tolerance for your specific printer and desired fit. I've found that the default 0.25 setting works well for press-fitting the magnet, depending on your printer. This is a highly customizable model that can either be downloaded and modified within OpenSCAD or customized using the Thingiverse Customizer. I have included one STL file of a 2.5in x 0.5in plate using a 6mmx3mm magnet as an example. I've attached pictures of various shaped plates that can be created. Here are some tips to help: 1. Rectangular Plate: Set the length and height to your desired dimensions, and you can also adjust the corner radius if needed. 2. Square Plate: Set the length and height to the same value, and you can also adjust the corner radius if needed. 3. Oval Plate: Set the length and height to your desired dimensions, and set the corner radius to half the height. 4. Circle Plate: Set the length and height to the same value, and set the corner radius to half the value used for length and height.
