Magnetic Knife Holder
thingiverse
I created a kitchen magnetic knife holder using sixty by ten by five millimeter magnets I had lying around the house. My family and I kept cutting ourselves on knives in the drawer, so I decided to make this holder. I could have ordered one from Amazon, but where's the fun in that? I printed it in PETG, but you can use any material realistically. To hold the magnets in place, I used epoxy glue. The pictured knife holder is thicker than it needed to be, so I remolded it to about half its original thickness since I felt it was unnecessary and saved on materials. I included two versions: a full version for those with large print beds and a two-part version for smaller print beds that can be glued together. I found the magnets on Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072K5SLXK/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1, listed as Rare-Earth Metal Neodymium Magnet, N45, Incredibly Strong Thirty-Three Plus Pound Strength - Sixty by Ten by Five Millimeter.
