Magnetic Knife Holder
thingiverse
I designed this thing as a shoelace holde, but it can also be used as a knife holder. You have to screw the base to the wall, but first mount the magnets in the caps and glue the caps to the base with epoxy. You can use some magnets from old hard disks. Simply glue these into the caps with epoxy. The holder will be stronger if you use ∅12×6 mm neodymium discs. Glue the discs in the holes of "gadget" with epoxy and put the "gadget" on the cap shaft when the glue has set. The "gadget" can rotate freely, so it's always in the best position when you put the knife on the holder.
